Losing the Battle

Bad news lads, our technical boys inform me of something known as a ‘hard-drive failure’. Seems Adolf’s saboteurs have thrown a spanner into the works of our operations here, and we’ve lost all of our strips and features that were waiting to be added to the site.

“Not all bad” you may say, “obviously the top brass will have everything backed-up elsewhere just in case of such an eventuality”. Well, computer savvy we may be, but unfortunately we’re not Alan Turing, so we couldn’t predict the PSU failure which took out the back-up drive as well.

Fortunately there’s something called ‘computer forensics’ which has enabled us to restore some of the back-up drive, but the bulk of the content, except for that already added to the web server, appears lost for now.

Once the problem is resolved, we’ll start adding strips again, so stand ready, and old Hercules will keep you posted.
